Business Analysis Intern
General Information
We are looking for a Business Analysis Intern to join our Ecosystem Analytics team. In this role, you will support market research and competitive analysis across Azerbaijan’s digital financial ecosystem, including fintech, payments, digital wallets, and e-commerce. You will work with data, prepare insights and reports, and contribute to strategic initiatives that support business decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research on the fintech, payments, digital wallet, and e-commerce landscape in Azerbaijan and the CIS/Caucasus region.
- Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and key industry players.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate insights.
- Support data collection, validation, and analysis from internal and external sources.
- Map the competitive landscape, including key stakeholders, partnerships, and regulatory factors.
- Assist in preparing business cases, market assessments, and strategy documents.
- Collaborate with product, technology, finance, and compliance teams to gather insights.
- Monitor regulatory developments relevant to the digital financial ecosystem.
- Use tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar to analyze and visualize data.
- Track project progress, document findings, and communicate updates to the team.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Fluent in English and Azerbaijani, both written and spoken.
- Russian is considered an advantage but is not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in fintech, digital payments, e-commerce, or financial services.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Interest in Azerbaijan's digital economy and financial technology ecosystem.
