Data Steward Intern
General Information
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Steward Intern to join our team. In this role, you will support data quality, governance, and consistency initiatives across different business domains. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is accurate, organized, and aligned with company standards and policies.

Responsibilities
- Support the review and improvement of data governance processes in line with organizational standards and business needs.
- Assist in promoting data governance best practices and maintaining governance frameworks.
- Help monitor data quality, integrity, consistency, completeness, and compliance with established data rules.
- Collaborate with Data Stewards to support implementation of business validation rules in data governance tools.
- Participate in gathering and documenting business requirements for data migration activities.
- Support Data Engineers during data migration processes by helping clarify business-related data questions.
- Assist Data Analytics teams with data-related analysis tasks for business initiatives.
- Help populate and maintain the data glossary by documenting data elements and definitions.
- Support business teams in documenting business validation rules and maintaining related documentation.
- Assist in communicating data issues and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide support in identifying and troubleshooting data quality issues under guidance of senior team members.
- Ensure documentation and assigned tasks are completed in accordance with internal standards and policies.
Requirements
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of data management, data quality, or data governance concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with both business and technical teams and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
- Interest in understanding business requirements and supporting data-related initiatives.
- Familiarity with Excel and basic knowledge of SQL is considered an advantage.
- Good documentation and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Azerbaijani, English or Russian, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
