IT Infrastructure Intern

As an IT Infrastructure Intern at BirBank, you will gain hands-on experience in maintaining and supporting enterprise infrastructure systems that power millions of users every day.
You will join our Infrastructure & Operations teams for the duration of your 3-month internship and learn how large-scale banking platforms are deployed, monitored, and maintained. During the internship, you’ll develop practical skills in networking, Linux systems, and infrastructure operations while working alongside experienced engineers.

Responsibilities
- Support the team in maintaining IT infrastructure systems and services.
- Assist in deployment and configuration of servers and network components.
- Learn and follow BirBank infrastructure and security standards.
- Monitor system availability and help troubleshoot incidents.
- Work with Linux systems (permissions, file systems, basic administration).
- Participate in network configuration and connectivity checks.
- Support end-to-end service availability across BirBank products.
Requirements
- Currently studying or recently graduated from Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or other STEM-related majors.
- Understanding of IT Fundamentals and Network Foundations.
- Basic knowledge of Routing & Switching concepts.
- Familiarity with TCP/UDP and Internet connectivity principles.
- Understanding of Routing Essentials and Switching Essentials.
- Knowledge of Spanning Tree Protocol and GPON basics is a plus.
- Basic Linux knowledge (system deployment, permissions commands, file systems).
- Ability to communicate in English fluently.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to complete a 12-week internship program.
