General Information

At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions. Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist in Tax Compliance: Work closely with the tax team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other related filings.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings to support tax planning and compliance efforts. Analyse tax implications of various business transactions.
  • Data Entry and Analysis: Assist in the collection, entry, and analysis of financial data to support tax calculations and reporting.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure accurate reporting of financial and tax-related data.

Requirements

  • A graduate degree with major in Economics or Finance & Accounting.
  • Strong command of spoken and written Azerbaijani and English. Knowledge of Russian and/or Turkish will be an advantage.
  • Basic Knowledge of Taxation and Accounting: Understanding of basic tax and accounting principles and willingness to learn and apply tax concepts.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Strong analytical and good problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to undertake new and challenging tasks.
  • Strong communication and team working skills.
  • Being motivated and demonstrating initiative.
  • Any relevant experience and background would be a plus.
